The MedAptus Charge Capture solution is designed to support coding and compliance at the point-of-care. Integrated with scheduling, registration and billing systems, MedAptus enables UPA physicians to manage daily schedules, review patient demographic information and record new procedures and diagnoses. The solution contains the entire CPT-4 and ICD-9 code sets, as well as sophisticated rule sets resulting in optimized reimbursement and coding compliance.

The UPA/MedAptus team’s services include, but are not limited to:

• Physician Training & Support
  
  We work closely with each department to enable UPA physicians to benefit from MedAptus. We are working closely with each department to enable all UPA physicians to benefit from MedAptus. We provide continuous training and support for our MedAptus physicians.
• Web Administrator Training & Support
  
  Web Administrators review and approve charges submitted via MedAptus. The team provides assistance in the form of continuous training, and support.
• Daily Reconciliation
  
  The UPA/MedAptus team has introduced a reconciliation process of electronic charges so that every charge entered into MedAptus and sent to McKesson is accounted for.
• Work In Progress (WIP) Review
  
  WIPs are incomplete or problematic charges. UPA and McKesson address WIPs more efficiently, thereby posting those charges in a timelier manner.
